Project Codex

A tool developed to help coordinate medical equipment between countries.

How did Project Codex start?

While working in the Warsaw Coordination Center for Ukraine in 2022, we experimented numerous logistical issues caused by medical terminology that varied significantly different between countries.

There was a need for an easy to use translation tool that would be more reliable – and transparent – than a simple Google Translate, without getting the complexity of a website database and that would support a variety of list format.

Why Do We Need It?

Our project addresses the critical need for improved accessibility and efficiency in medical data management. By consolidating and integrating data from 35 diverse medical databases, we aim to provide healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers with a centralised platform for comprehensive analysis and decision-making. This initiative not only enhances the efficiency of data retrieval and utilisation but also promotes better diagnostic accuracy and patient care outcomes. Our prototype is tailored to meet local healthcare challenges, ensuring that the solution not only meets regulatory standards but also aligns closely with the specific needs of healthcare

Codex Architecture

The Codex tool or it’s Architecture is an intuitive language assistant designed to help you find and translate words with ease. Simply select your starting and target languages, type in a word, and the tool will search for similar words in its vast database, even if you’re unsure of the exact spelling. Once you find the word you’re looking for, you can translate it with just one click. Behind the scenes, the tool uses advanced systems to match words and provide accurate translations, ensuring a seamless experience for users. Whether you’re learning a new language or need quick translations, Codex simplifies the process for everyone.

Google-Sheet

The Medical Codex Project features a Google-Sheet based solution designed to provide a more dependable and transparent alternative to simplistic translation methods such as Google Translate. It currently supports Ukrainian, French, and English languages, with additional languages slated for inclusion soon.
